The audition lasts about 20 minutes and will consist of vocalizing, sight reading, and a prepared piece of your choice (accompaniment will be provided). AUDITIONS for the chamber choir SERENADE
Seeking solo quality voices, with strong musicianship skills for a chamber choir. Two rehearsals a month on Sunday nights, alternating between San Francisco and San Mateo locations. Serenade is open to all singers, and operates under the umbrella of Masterworks Chorale. There are no dues.
Singers are expected to learn their notes on their own, outside of rehearsal.

1. all-Handel program: Easter choruses from Messiah, Coronation anthem #4 My heart is inditing. Concert date is April 17
2. French music from Renaissance to contemporary: we'll begin with an amazing piece by Clement Janequin 'Les Cris de Paris', Ave Verum Corpus by Francis Poulenc and will go all a way to contemporary music. This concert will be dedicated to the victims of terrorist attacks in Paris.
