About the Performers:
 

Emilia Diaz Delgado is a 12-year-old classical guitarist, budding cook, and aspiring film director. She has had the honor of studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College under Scott Cmiel from 2018-present, where she has performed in many recitals (and represented the school various times.) Emilia has been awarded the SFCM certificates Hildegard Von Bingen: Level 1, Johann Sebastian Bach – Level 2, and Six-String Chamber Music Award. Emilia has been invited to perform in concerts by Austin Classical Guitar ( ACG – Hope), Listen For Life: Notes For Nourishment (NFN Concerts presents Conor Padmanabhan and Emilia Diaz Delgado at the Mission Dolores Basilica, Benefiting the San Francisco Homeless Children’s Network; NFN Live: Eric and Emilia in Concert benefiting the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Pete’s. Florida,) Odeon Guitar (Women Of Guitar), Omni Guitar (Bokyung Byun and Emilia Diaz Delgado – Live At St. Mark’s), and the South Bay Guitar Society. She also played with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sonora in Mexico, and was invited to the International Guitar Festival of Sonora.

 

Elle Davisson, age 14, has been playing the classical guitar since the age of 4.  Elle has placed in numerous competitions around the country, including the Society of American Musicians 2021 Competition, the 2019 Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition, the 2018 Junior Bach Festival, the 2017 Indiana International Guitar Competition, the 2017 Boston GuitarFest Competition, and the 2018 United States International Music Competition.  Elle has had masterclasses with and opened for some of the greatest luminaries of the classical guitar world, including David Russell, Marc Teicholz, Kazuhito Yamashita, Ben Verdery, Marcus Tardelli and Raphaella Smits. Not just a classical guitarist, Elle is also an avid soccer player, pin collector and small business owner.  Elle studies with Christopher Mallett at the California Conservatory of Music and plays a guitar by Glenn Canin.  You can find Elle on Instagram at @davissonduo. The Davisson Duo is comprised of siblings Jack Davisson (age 16) and Elle Davisson (age 14).  Jack and Elle have been playing as a dynamic duo since 2017.  Winners at this year’s Southern Guitar Festival Youth Ensemble Competition and at the 2018 and 2017 Guitar Foundation of America Small Ensemble Youth Competitions, they were featured in Classical Guitar Magazine’s Sunday Prodigy series and on NPR’s From the Top (Show 361-Brunswick, Maine).   The Davisson Duo also recently appeared on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert Series. Elle and Jack have had masterclasses with and opened for some of the greatest luminaries of the classical guitar world, including David Russell, Marc Teicholz, Kazuhito Yamashita, Ben Verdery, Marcus Tardelli and Raphaella Smits.

 

Jack Davisson, age 16, studies with Christopher Mallett at the California Conservatory of Music.  Jack is the first place winner of, among others, the Guitar Foundation of America 2021 International Youth Competition – Senior Division, the 2021 James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition, and the Society of American Musicians 2021 Competition.  Jack also received recognition at the highest (Finalist) level in the YoungArts 2021 International Competition. Jack has had the honor of opening concerts by  such luminaries as David Russell, Marc Teicholz, Kazuhito Yamashita, and Raphaella Smits and performed in masterclasses with Manuel Barrueco, Ben Verdery, David Russell, Nicholas Goluses, and Marcus Tardelli, among others. Reade Park, age 17, is a student in the Pre-College Division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studies guitar with Scott Cmiel. He is the third-place winner of the Senior Division of the Guitar Foundation of America’s 2021 International Youth Competition, as well as a winner in the 2022 National YoungArts Foundation competition. In 2021, he appeared as a soloist on NPR’s From the Top program. He has performed in master classes for Marcin Dylla, Eliot Fisk, Judicaël Perroy, Meng Su, Ben Verdery, and Jason Vieaux, among others. Reade was also selected to participate in Maestro Manuel Barrueco’s “Pre-College Guitar Virtuosos” master class in 2020 and 2021. In addition to guitar, Reade studies composition with Robert Chastain and Matthew Cmiel. Reade is the first-place winner of SFCM’s 2021 Kris Getz Composition Competition, with a work for solo flute. Outside the Conservatory, Reade enjoys math, playing classical piano pieces with swing, and cultivating carnivorous plants.

 

Eric Wang is now 17 and a 12th grader at Valley Christian High School in his hometown of San Jose, CA. He started classical guitar at age 4 and he is now studying with Robert Miller at California Conservatory of Music. He was a featured guitarist on NPR’s From the Top show just this past April. Recently, Eric became 2020 National Young Arts Finalist and participated in their prestigious events for a week in Miami (fortunately, before the lockdown), receiving the Silver Tier award. Eric is currently nominated for the Presidential Scholars in the Arts award. Eric Wang has had masterclasses with many distinguished guitarists including Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Zoran Dukic, Benjamin Verdery, Eliot Fisk, Adam Holzman, the Eden-Stell Guitar Duo, Nicholas Goluses, Marcus Tardelli, Ian O’Sullivan, Montenegrian Guitar Duo and Judicael Perroy.
