The Spanish guitar in all its glory!
The first half of the program will feature Julia Trintschuk, one of Europe’s rising stars of the classical guitar. Julia will bring to the stage “Crystal clear playing, empathic abandon and expressiveness rich in images” (Südwest Presse).
The second part of the program brings us flamenco guitarist Grisha Goryachev whose explosive virtuosity and variety of expression capture the true feeling of Spain and the flamenco guitar. Join us and experience a program rich in variety, virtuosity, and expression.
Julia Trintschuk
Julia Trintschuk is an international award-winning classical guitarist based in Germany. She started playing the guitar at the age of four with her father. Later she continued her studies with Prof. Mario Sicca, Martin Wiedmann, Prof. Johannes Monno, Ivo and Sofia Kaltchev, Mateus dela Fonte and Prof. Joaquin Clerch.
Julia launched her performing career at the age of 16 with the well-known “Concierto de Aranjuez” by Joaquin Rodrigo and has played as a soloist and chamber musician in places all over the world, such as Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Poland, Montenegro, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
Grisha Goryachev
A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Grisha Goryachev is renowned for his extraordinary musical sensitivity and technical virtuosity in both classical and flamenco styles. Grisha is one of very few guitarists in the world who is reviving the tradition of solo-flamenco guitar in a concert setting that was practiced by legendary flamenco masters such as Ramón Montoya and Sabicas.
Grisha Goryachev began to play the guitar at the age of six, studying first with his father, Dmitry, an acknowledged master teacher of the instrument. Following his debut at the age of nine, Mr. Goryachev enjoyed an extensive career as a child prodigy, performing regularly before large audiences in the most prestigious concert halls of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Minsk, Riga, and other major cities in the then Soviet Union.
