The 10th Annual JTVA Vocal Competition Weekend is comprised of four separate events, each of which is open to the public. Singers will compete for $50,000 in prize money. All events will be held at the The Wilsey Center for Opera in the War Memorial Performing Arts Center, 401 Van Ness Ave., in San Francisco, CA.

TIER II MASTER CLASS - SATURDAY, JULY 8, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.
Lyric soprano Michele Patzakis, DMA will conduct a master class for the 7 Tier II competition finalists. Ms. Patzakis is a Teaching Artist with the Los Angeles Opera and Applied Instructor, Voice at Azusa Pacific University.
TIER I MASTER CLASS - SATURDAY, JULY 8, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Internationally acclaimed soprano and gifted stage actor Patricia Racette will conduct a master class for the 7 Tier I competition finalists.
TIER II VOCAL COMPETITION FINALS - SUNDAY, JULY 9, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.
Tier II is for singers who are studying at or near the college level and considering a professional singing career. 7 finalists will compete before a judging panel and live audience.
TIER I VOCAL COMPETITION FINALS - SUNDAY, JULY 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
Tier I is for singers who have studied voice extensively, developed substantial skill in vocal performance, and are ready to begin a professional career. 7 finalists will compete before a judging panel and live audience.
