Crowden's FREE Community Music Day is Sunday, October 6, 10am to 2pm! Join Crowden, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, and Music Multicultural Fellowship for a day of musical fun and exploration.
Festivities feature Crowden's ever-popular "Instrument Petting Zoo," where kids and adults alike touch and learn to make sounds on the instruments of a symphony orchestra. We even have special miniature string instruments for tiny hands and fingers.
Dancing is encouraged at Very First Concerts with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra: short, engaging concerts designed for the youngest listeners. Tumbling mats for wriggling toddlers, short selections, and hands-on musical activities make these fun performances the perfect way to introduce the youngest children to the joys of live classical music.
Son de la Tierra, resident ensemble of the East Bay Center for Performing Arts, will be performing music from Southern Veracruz called Son Jarocho. This music is usually played in a Fandango. Fandango is a party where people gather and play music and dance on a wooden platform called, "Tarima."
Featuring musical performances for kids, by kids throughout the day, including inspiring young Crowden musicians.
Construct your own instruments to make music at home with in our instrument crafts room.
Activities include face painting, prizes for every kid, and much more!
