The chamber choir Convivium presents Ecstatic Earth, a program honoring our sacred connection to the earth through song and poetry. Journey with us from the brilliance of sunrise to the peace of a gentle summer night with music from throughout the Americas. Highlights of the program include:
- Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate's Taloowa' Chipota, a joyful evocation of Chickasaw stomp dancing
- Shruthi Rajasekar's Devotee, which brings together Carnatic and Western classical traditions in dialogue
- Adolphus Hailstork's radiant Nocturne, depicting the beauty of a summer night
- Music by Gabriela Lena Frank, Meredith Monk, Susan LaBarr, Melissa Dunphy, and others
You can enjoy a preview of the opening of the program, Melissa Dunphy's The Elements of the Sun, by clicking here.
