TWO DAYS, FOUR GREAT PERFORMANCES

Community Concerts at Epworth concludes its 2021-2022 season with a Spring Piano Festival, celebrating the vast range of the keyboard repertoire over several centuries and the recent acquisition of a grand piano.  The program includes performances on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, with afternoon and evening concerts each day.

A light supper reception will be provided outdoors between programs, with performances by the Berkeley High School jazz band and student string quartet.

DAY ONE, SATURDAY MAY 14th

Aeri Lee received Master of Music Degrees in Piano and Choral Conducting, and Master of Arts in Religion while at Yale School of Music, Yale Divinity School, and Yale Institute of Sacred Music.  She has been an Artist-In-Residence at Santa Fe and Banff International Chamber Music Festivals. She has served as Music Director and Adjunct Faculty at the Pacific School of Religion, and as worship and music director at Chinese Community UMC in Oakland.

FRANK MARTIN   7:00-8:00 pm
Northern California native Frank Martin continues a diverse career as a jazz performer, producer and educator.  Frank has appears on stage and in the studio with a wide variety of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Sting, Angela Bofill, Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Richard Bona, Shankar Mahadevan, Larry Coryell, Flora Purim & Airto Moriera, Herbie Hancock, Pandit Ronu Majumdar, Lisa Fischer, John McLaughlin, Patti Austin, Steve Winwood, Santana, Paul Simon, Patti Labelle, the Turtle Island String Quartet, Zakir Hussain, Wayne Shorter, and many others.

All attendees must show proof of full vaccination. Out of an abundance of caution, we ask everyone to stay masked while inside.  A live stream of the concert will be available on Facebook.
