A native of Bulgaria, violinist Dorisiya Yosifova enjoys an active career in music as a teacher and performer. As an orchestra musician, Dorisiya plays as Principal Second Violinist of the Apollo Ensemble of Boston and has also played with the Cape Ann Symphony as Section Player and the Lowell House Opera as Concertmaster. In the recent years, she has appeared in performances as a solo and chamber musician in the Greater Boston Area where Dorisiya was located before her recent move to the Bay Area.

Following her solo debut with the San Francisco Symphony, Ilana Blumberg Thomas has appeared across the United States and internationally, including appearances at Tanglewood, the Marlboro Music Festival, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival. She is currently in demand as a chamber musician, collaborating with the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, Earplay, UC Berkeley’s eco ensemble, Ensemble for these Times, and working with Philip Glass and Opera Paralelle last season. At Susie Fong Music Studio, we believe in tailoring music lessons to suit the interests and talents of each student so that they can achieve their individual musical goals. The studio offers personalized, relationship-based instruction to students ages 5 and up in note-reading, instrument technique, music theory, music history and general musicianship. Lessons encompass all styles of music, including classical, jazz, pop, and includes opportunities to learn to play lead sheets and song-writing.

Rachel Patrick began her violin studies at the age of three, studying in the pre-college String Academy program at Indiana University. Until the age of 16, she studied at IUSA with world-renowned pedagogue, Mimi Zweig, joining the program's prestigious touring group, the Violin Virtuosi, at the age of eight. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan studying with Stephen Shipps and Yehonatan Berick and completed her graduate work at Indiana University, studying with Alexander Kerr and studying string pedagogy with Mimi Zweig.

Mrs. Dina Mirkskaya is the owner of the music studio. Music has been a huge part of her entire life. She has a dream ever since she was a little girl to teach others the same love of music that she experienced herself. Mrs. Dina opened her doors to the music studio in Cupertino in 1994. Her love for music and amazing teaching skills made her one of the best music studios in the Bay Area

I'm a professional pianist and have taught and performed around the world for 25 years. I provide piano and music lessons for music lovers of all ages and levels of experience. Whether you need to prepare for exams, competitions, performances or want to play just for the love of music, I provide an encouraging and engaging experience. My lessons integrate music theory, technique, music appreciation, and improvisation with an entertaining flair tailored to each student.

Angela Solis is a violin and viola teacher with more than 12 years of experience.

She started her music studies in Spain where she earned her bachelor’s degree in music in 2004. During this time, her performance and teaching experience was forged between the classical, contemporary and regional styles. Her experience in performance includes playing in several orchestras, ensembles, recording studios and as the lead singer and founder of the band “Costellas”.
