We are looking for:
A natural, free singing voice,
Good sense of pitch,
Ability to sing back a series of 2 or 3 notes played on the piano,
Singing one verse of "America" ("My Country 'Tis of Thee") from memory,
and Enthusiasm for performing.

The Silicon Valley Symphony has gained the reputation as being one of the finest community orchestras in the Bay Area. SVS has immediate openings for brass (french horn, 1st trumpet, 3rd trumpet, 2nd trombone, tuba) and all strings. SVS rehearses in Palo Alto on Mondays from 7:30-10pm. Prepare a short piece for audition (accompanied or a capella) which will demonstrate your choral technique and ability to blend with untrained singers.
This is a non-auditioned community chorus. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-9:45 at the Arrillaga Recreation Center in Menlo Park.
Please be prepared to sing something from an oratorio, mass or song appropriate for a church service. You will also be asked to sight read an anthem. Please email Craig to make an appointment for an audition.
The San Francisco Boys Chorus will hold its next round of auditions September 7th in San Francisco, Marin and the East Bay for boys with unchanged voices who are 5 years or older. No previous music training is necessary. Training is offered at rehearsal sites in San Francisco, Marin and the East Bay. Signup for an audition today.
Auditions are by appointment. Boys audition in small groups using a series of fun activities to assess skill levels. Boys do not need to prepare anything. Parents may listen.
Resound Ensemble is holding auditions AUG 20-28 for the 2013-2014 season, our 3rd year. Resound rehearses and performs (May & Nov, no holiday concert) in San Francisco. Due to our wide range of styles, we often say we're the ensemble of the shuffle generation!

Golden Gate Music is your personal music designer for all events, from a small backyard wedding to a corporate event with thousands of guests. The Golden Gate String Quartet is unsurpassed in its extensive songbook of popular music, from Duke Ellington to Daft Punk, Dvorak to Death Cab for Cutie.
Members of Golden Gate Music include musicians who play with major symphony and opera orchestras, as well as with small ensembles, both classical and popular.
Those auditioning will be asked to vocalize, sing a brief solo of their choosing (aria, art or folk song, show tune, etc.) and sight-read choral selection provided. Auditions are by appointment with Artistic Director, David Morales. Chorale rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons in Oakland, occasionally on Tuesday evenings in Lafayette.
