Natalie Raney fell in love with the cello when she was nine years old, after hearing her coolest, childhood role model play it in the house next door. Her journey has led her across the country and landed her in San Francisco where she resides as a sought-after chamber musician, soloist, and teacher. Recognized for her bold and adventurous playing, she has established herself as an immensely versatile performer.

We don't have a formal audition. All we ask is an ability to carry a tune. However, we're a dedicated group of singers led by an internationally renowned conductor Cyril Deaconoff. We rehearse at a beautiful facility, AC Performing Arts Theatre building where we also perform.
SF Music Now is a musician-ran collective which offers access to some of San Francisco’s great young classical artists, and an easy way to book brass musicians for all of your event needs.
Rates depend on the number of musicians, the length of the performance, and also location. A 1-hour minimum booking exists for events inside San Francisco.

We bring in the soloists for operas and contracting entity provides the piano, orchestra, chorus and PA system the concert is for any outdoor venues. Depending on the work requested the number of soloists and pianist, conductor is flexible. IE: for The Impresario, 4 singers, a pianist, conductor. If with orchestra, just 4 singers.

Concerts will take place in Berkeley and San Francisco. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings 7:30-10 PM in downtown Oakland.
We're looking for a few strings (esp. viola/cello/bass), oboe, bassoon, trombone. Play two short pieces or orchestral excerpts (no more than 3 min. each) of your choice, in contrasting mood/style/tempo, demonstrating technical facility on your instrument, expression and general musicianship. Sight-read one or two short easy-to-medium passages.

To audition please:
Sing a prepared song or aria (any style), or your voice part's line in a
portion of a standard, classical choral work.
Bring two copies of your music, one for yourself and one for the
accompanist.
Perform sight-singing of short musical excerpts.
Repeat back short melodies played on the piano.
