Piano and Strings – 100 Years!
Two world premieres by San Francisco’s own Hyo-shin Na are presented alongside Ruth Crawford’s String Quartet, a selection of piano works by the 20th Century master Ferruccio Busoni, and a new, re-imagined version of Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s The Banjo by the ensemble’s pianist, Thomas Schultz.

Wooden Fish Ensemble will present a program consisting of the 20th Century American composer Ruth Crawford’s String Quartet (1931), a selection of solo piano works by the 20th Century European master Ferruccio Busoni, and four works by San Francisco’s own Hyo-shin Na (including 2 world premieres). Also featured is a new, re-imagined version of Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s The Banjo by the ensemble’s pianist, Thomas Schultz.
