Seicento: Italian music of the 17th century

Join Voices of Music in October for our 2024-24 season opener: "Seicento: Italian music of the 17th century," a delightful program highlighting women composers and poets of the time, with music by Isabelle Leonarda, Francesca & Giulio Caccini, Allesandro Scarlatti, Barbara Strozzi, and others.

 

The program features soloists Sherezade Panthaki, soprano; Isabelle Seula Lee and Manami Mizumoto, baroque violins; William Skeen, baroque cello; Hanneke van Proosdij, recorder and harpsichord; David Tayler, archlute and baroque guitar.
