The Barbary Coast Recorder Orchestra (BCRO) presents our annual FREE concert of music from the Renaissance and baroque periods, as well as today. Co-directors Greta Haug-Hryciw and Glen Shannon, with guest conductor Andy Canepa will lead sacred music by Tomas Luis de Victoria and Juan Gutierrez de Padilla, a dazzling concerto movement by Georg Philip Telemann, a beautiful Ukrainian lullaby, the love theme from "Cinema Paradiso," the opening theme to the Japanese anime film "Howl's Castle," and an epic original piece by Shannon commissioned by the Los Angeles Recorder Orchestra.
Recorders come in many sizes from tiny to titan, and we have them all!
BCRO is an educational outreach program of Voices of Music.
