All You Dear Flowers: Beethoven, Schubert’s “Die Schöne Müllerin”

This year, in its 8th Season, the Valley of the Moon Music Festival presents chamber and vocal music inspired by nature and the elements. Fasten your seatbelts for Schubert’s epic song cycle “Die Schöne Müllerin” performed by award-winning duo, tenor Kyle Stegall with Music Director Eric Zivian at the fortepiano. What begins as a happy stroll through the countryside ends in a despairing fantasy of flowers emerging from the protagonist’s grave when his love is dashed. The program opens with Robert Schumann’s evocative “Fantasy Pieces” for Piano Trio.
