Greetings Opera Cocktales Fans, Friends and Family!!
The final days of 2024 are upon us, and, sooner than we can possibly imagine,
2025 will wake and take it's very first breath. Here at Opera Cocktales,
the change of year has us thinking more and more about stories.
Stories, folktales, fables, allegories, romances, legends and myths
are all an integral part of the endless tales we humans love to tell each other
in whatever way we like to tell them.
For US, that means Opera!!!
As a child, a favorite story was the myth of the Golden Phoenix.
Radiantly gold in color though rarely seen,
It was thought to appear during times of great peril and struggle.
The phoenix rises from its own burning ashes to begin anew
and is associated with hope, resilience, and the ability to overcome adversity,
I can't think of a better way to begin our flight into 2025 than to invoke the myth of the Golden Phoenix!!
