This annual concert arises from the visionary sparkle of Marcia McCowin, who designated an estate gift to St. Paul’s Burlingame to highlight the work of women composers and poets, with a little treat for the young at heart, too. Dr. McCowin (1952-2020) was a Professor of Clinical Radiology at UCSF, a generous supporter of Music at St. Paul’s, and an inspiration to all who knew her.
The 2024 concert highlights music of Isabella Leonarda, Fanny Hensel, and Florence Price for strings, piano and organ.
A free-will offering benefits the McCowin Estate Fund.
A reception follows.
