St. Paul’s Concert Series is excited to present the Konevets Quartet in concert, performing for us from St. Petersburg, Russia! We are broadcasting this performance from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walnut Creek, on Saturday, April 17 at 7pm PST. This performance will be broadcast online only (no live audience attending please). Visit our site at http://www.stpaulswc.org/concert-series for online tickets, concert program, and more exciting information on this event!
The Konevets Quartet was founded in 1992 by four young musicians from the St. Petersburg Conservatoire who were singing in the choir of the Konevets Monastery of the Holy Nativity on the island of Konevets in Lake Ladoga. All the members of the ensemble studied at the St Petersburg Glinka Choir College. Trained in the tradition of Russian song, the Konevets Quartet is not just a group of individual soloists, but is in essence a chamber choir dedicated to creating a perfect harmonious ensemble sound. For St. Paul’s, this phenomenal ensemble will open the concert with sacred songs of Easter Season, and then bring us songs that delight from around the world.
This performance is being broadcast online; our in-person performances at St. Paul's have been postponed until it is safe to congregate again.
