This is the eighth year of the PIVOT Festival, created for adventurous audiences interested in unique arts experiences. The Grammy© Award-winning Catalyst Quartet returns for season two of its highly regarded Uncovered series, exploring the music of composers who have been overlooked due to their race or gender. Catalyst has a bold and compelling mission: “We believe in the unity that can be achieved through music and imagine our programs and projects with this in mind.” With guest artist Anne-Marie McDermott, piano, on February 21.
PIVOT Preludes
These pre-concert programs will feature pianist Sarah Cahill and other Bay Area artists who will take a deeper dive into the works of a composer featured in that evening’s performance. Each Prelude begins at 6:30pm. Admission is included with a PIVOT Festival ticket purchase.
