Learn the basics of reading from early notation.
Playing from early notation can be a delightful way to not only challenge your brain, but also to experience the music in a different way. We will cover the basics of reading from white mensural notation and play some simple music from the 16th century. Music will be at an intermediate-to-upper-intermediate level, and a good sense of rhythm is helpful! Please note that you will need to be able to print the music for this class so that you can read from it during the session.
Instrumentation: Recorders, Winds and Viols
Pitch: A=440
