Rotem Gilbert: Chromaticism and "Sweet Pain"

In this class we will enjoy the “sweet pain” of some lovely chromatic coloring. Selections will include Cipriano de Rore’s chromatic madrigal Da le belle contrade d’oriente; Giovanni Maria Trabaci’s Canzona Francesa Cromatica and Gesualdo’s chromatic Gagliarda del principe di Venosa.
