Travel across centuries and genres with this upbeat presentation from Beneath a Tree, a San Francisco-based ensemble specializing in historically informed eclecticism, drawing in particular from the Baroque period and various folk traditions.
This concert will explore the music of Georg Philipp Telemann—a prodigious style-crosser himself—as well as works by Domenico Gabrielli. There will also be delicious arrangements of traditional Scottish works arranged by ensemble members.
Gail Hernández Rosa, Baroque violin, viola, and vocals; Daniel Turkos, contrabass, cittern/Irish bouzouki, and vocals; Paul Holmes Morton, Baroque guitar and theorbo
