Michael Conley, the new Artistic Director of SFCC, conducts the 80-voice chorus, weaving a gorgeous tapestry of music across time and space.
Celebrating the power of community through the beauty and diversity of choral music, the highly varied selections will take us on a journey from the 1400s to the present, including music from ten countries ranging from a late medieval gem by Dufay, to an early 20th century masterpiece by Herbert Howells, to folksongs and folk-inspired compositions from France, Indonesia, Sweden, Benin Republic, Tibet, and North America. Composers also include Sondheim, Poulenc, Andrea Clearfield, Rosephanye Powell, and Elliott Z. Levine.
