Pacific Symphony Assistant Conductor, Dr. Jacob Sustaita, previews and introduces the upcoming performances of Verdi’s operatic masterpiece, Otello. Three online sessions (YouTube) will explore the opera's depiction of jealousy and rage by examining the work's psychological, musical and dramatic forces. Included will be discussions about the genesis of the opera, the collaboration of three artists (Boito, Verdi, Shakespeare) and the destructive world of Verdi’s three main characters (Desdemona, Iago, Otello).

Don’t miss this opportunity to peek behind the scenes at how Pacific Symphony brings the dramatic pathos of this opera to the stage of the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Also, experience exclusive conversations with Stage Director Robert Neu and members of the cast about performing Verdi’s iconic and thrilling opera.

Each session will be available for on-demand viewing after the initial start date.
