The Pacific Boychoir Academy is launching the celebration of its 25th Silver Anniversary with the holiday season of performances. This year’s annual holiday concerts will be performed on December 17, 8:00 PM at The Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland, and on December 18, 4:00 PM at St. Mary’s College Chapel in Moraga. The program featuring Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols” will begin with the Pacific Boychoir Academy’s traditional candlelight procession, and conclude with some favorite holiday carols, including an audience and alumni sing along.
PBA Music Director Andrew Brown states, “the Pacific Boychoir Academy strives to connect our young musicians to a deep profound experience of music in its highest practice. We seek cultural depth, individual respect, and personal growth. It is our greatest value that we make our communities and world a richer place because of our existence. Our audiences are our most important partners in helping us achieve our goals.”
Information and tickets for Harmonies of the Season are available at PacificBoychoir.org. $30 suggested donation, $150 sponsor donation.
The Cathedral of Christ the Light is located at 2121 Harrison Street, Oakland, CA 94612.
