NOONTIME CONCERTS, which provides FREE live musical performances at Old St. Mary’s Cathedral (660 California St., San Francisco) on Tuesdays at lunchtime (12:30 pm) presents pianist SARAH YUAN – recipient of the Ross McKee piano competition.

- Henri Dutilleux: Piano Sonata (III. Choral Variations)
- Sergei Rachmaninoff: Etude-Tableau, Op.33, No. 4 in D Minor
Sarah Yuan, age 17, lives in Moraga and is a senior at Miramonte High School. She began piano studies at age seven and is currently a student of Dr. Sharon Mann. Since 2015, Sarah has won awards at the Pacific Musical Society Competition, Etude Club’s Young Artist Competition, the Sturm-Page Scholarship Competition, and the Ross McKee Piano Competition. She was also an Honorable Mention winner for the 2022 YoungArts competition. As part of the Young Chamber Musicians program, Sarah is currently the pianist for the Aveta Trio, which won the gold medal at the Junior Fischoff National Competition in 2021.
Ross McKee Foundation
Each year The Ross McKee Foundation produces a piano competition open to high school students. Up to four contestants are selected to be Ross McKee Young Artists. These laureates receive a prize of $1,500 and participate in a public recital.
