The NorcalMLK Foundation and Noontime Concerts are proud to announce an inspiring partnership themed Social Justice and Beloved Community, aligning the organizations’ shared values in social justice and the transformative power of the arts.
The collaboration will result in a unique program that will happen TUESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2024, at Old St. Mary’s Cathedral (660 California St at Grant in Chinatown) 12:30 pm to 1:30pm. This powerful commemorative concert curated by musician and director Dr. Carl Blake will serve as an invocation to the MLK Celebration Week, dedicated to honoring the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. legacy.
The series and the January 9th Noontime concert presentation features performances by masterful classical musicians whose artistry evokes themes of peace, unity, and the ongoing pursuit of social progress. These midday concerts will be easily accessible to the public, echoing Dr. King’s message of inclusivity.
