Summer Festival: Renascence (Performance 2)

Presented by Music@Menlo

In the final festival program, Crumb's cataclysmic Black Angels, a passionately anti-war statement, balances Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin du temps (Quartet for the End of Time), a devoutly spiritual work composed in a prisoner of war camp. To open, J. S. Bach consecrates the concert hall with two of his most moving, final works, including a Contapunctus from The Art of Fugue.

This event will be livestreamed and available to watch for one week. Livestream tickets can be purchased online or by calling 650-331-0202.
