The Twelfth Season of the Second Sunday Basilica Recital Series opens with a program by concert pianist, BILL QUIST. It will be a program of Russian music, featuring the composers, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Tcherepnin, Tchaikovsky and Schostakovitch.

Bill Quist is a Bay Area chamber musician. His formal training included five years at the Interlochen Arts Academy on a Van Cliburn scholarship. His notable collaborations have been with the San Francisco Symphony and Chorus, the Louis Magor Singers, and the San Francisco Choral Artists. Special projects include commissioning Nocturnes for the Palace of the Legion of Honor.

The program is free and donations are accepted in support of the Basilica Music Ministries
