Mane Musica presents a Berkeley Early Music Festival “Fringe” concert. Enjoy an assortment of 2, 3, 4, and 5-part Renaissance and early Baroque music, performed on period instruments, in Berkeley’s historic Hillside Club. The program includes music originally written for (mostly unspecified) instruments, as well as our adaptation of vocal music, including suites we have created from two masses: Cristóbal Morales’s Missa Quaeramus cum pastoribus, and William Byrd’s Mass for Three Voices. Other composers represented are Jean de Castro, Gaspar Fernandes, Girolano Frescobaldi, Giovanni Gabrieli, Heinrich Isaac, Josquin des Prez, Orlande de Lassus, Michael Praetorius, Gerard de Turnhout, Andrés de Villalar and Robert White.
