World-class concert cello soloist, Evan Drachman, honors his grandfather, Gregor Piatigorsky, the “cello’s greatest international star in the mid-twentieth century.” Having studied at the Peabody and the New England Conservatories of Music and graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, Evan possesses in abundance two qualities for which his grandfather was revered: the ability to make the cello imitate the human singing voice and the ability to tell a story. Collaborating on this tour is piano virtuoso artist, Mary Au.
Music by Mendelssohn and Schumann
