SAN ANSELMO — Who among us is not a "Work in Progress"? Echo Chamber Orchestra joyfully shares the state of its musical progress on Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 PM, in a performance featuring horn soloist Jason Whitney, who will perform Gordon Jacob's Concerto for Horn and Strings.

The performance at San Anselmo's First Presbyterian Church will open with the brilliantly scored Kamarinskaya (Themes of Wedding Songs and Dances) by Glinka, and will close with Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony. Music Director Daniel Canosa conducts.

Jacob's concerto, composed in 1951 and premiered by the legendary British horn player Dennis Brain, is among today's most popular solo works for the French horn. Whitney is a native of Petaluma and winner of the 2023 Sonoma State University Concerto Competition and the 2022 Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. 

Tickets are $25 will be sold online and at the door starting at 7:00 PM.
