Delight in the beauty of the music of Christmas with the Choir of St. Paul's, including boy and girl choristers. The 90-minute program includes highlights from the Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach in which the Christmas story is told in mesmerizing baroque song, from the recitative narration of the evangelist and an angel to joyous solo arias and boisterous choruses accompanied by trumpet, timpani, oboes, flutes, string quartet, and organ. The program closes with Christmas and New Year musical greetings from around the world. A festive reception follows. Ticket sales benefit the choir's summer residency at Lincoln Cathedral, England.
