The California Music Center, producer of the Klein International String Competition presents its second virtual Third Thursdays recital on October 15th with cellist Dakota Cotugno (2nd prizewinner Klein Competition 2019) from Ann Arbor.
Third Thursdays are a ticketed series of brand-new, streamed concerts featuring recent Klein International String Competition prizewinners in recital, and live post-show conversation with the artists. While we can't present our beloved house concerts in-person this season, we can bring them to homes around the world. Streams go up at 5PM PT (8PM ET) and are available for 10 days. Suggested minimum donation of $20 for access at eventbrite.com.
Dakota started playing cello at 12 years old and has loved it ever since. A native of Colorado, he graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2018 with an undergraduate degree in cello performance. He is now pursuing a masters degree in cello performance and chamber music at the University of Michigan with Richard Aaron. Dakota has taught privately for 9 years with a studio of over 20 cellists.
