Berkeley Chamber Performances is excited to welcome Deborah Pittman and Friends to our series on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 7:30 p.m at the Berkeley City Club. Join us for a multimedia evening featuring African American composers. Deborah Pittman is an acclaimed classically trained clarinetist, performance artist and writer. Pittman is also Professor Emeritus of clarinet and studies in American music at CSUS Sacramento.

Flutist, composer, and educator Valerie Coleman
Valerie Coleman is an American composer and flutist as well as the creator of the wind quintet Imani Winds. Coleman is a distinguished artist of the century who was named Performance Today's 2020 Classical Woman of the year and was listed as "one of the Top 35 Women Composers" in the Washington Post.
