Berkeley Baroque Strings Presents Bach and Telemann

Presented by Berkeley Baroque Strings

As part of the Berkeley Festival & Exhibition Fringe concerts, the Berkeley Baroque Strings opens its final concert of the season with “Overture Burlesque” by Georg Philipp Telemann. Johann Sebastian Bach’s familiar “Concerto for Harpsichord and Strings in D Major” will be performed by soloist Charlotte Gaylord. Other works on the program, which will feature members of the orchestra, are Bach’s “Non sa che sia dolore” from “Cantata 209,” “Cantata 55” for tenor, flute, violin, and cello, and Telemann’s “Overture Wassermusik.”

Under the music direction of Kati Kyme, frequent leader of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and member of the New Esterhazy Quartet and Agave Baroque, the chamber orchestra is an affiliate of the San Francisco Early Music Society.

Masks and proof of vaccination are required.
