Amateur Music Network, in partnership with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Continuing Education Division, presents “Six Suites in Six Weeks” an online interactive exploration and discussion of Bach’s six cello suites. “Six Suites in Six Weeks” is curated and led by a collection of today’s most respected and renowned Bach interpreters and cello masters Oliver Herbert on March 8, Robert Howard on March 15, Jean-Michael Fonteneau on March 22, William Skeen on March 29, Bonnie Hampton on April 5, and Stephen Harrison on April 12.
Designed to bring together the full spectrum of Bach aficionados and Bach newcomers, “Six Suites in Six Weeks” will give each individual artist the opportunity to discuss their personal connection to the suites and their lifelong journey performing and interpreting them. The sessions aim to give viewers a “backstage pass” to learn more about the music, the artists, and each other. No prior experience is required to fully enjoy these sessions.
“Six Suites in Six Weeks” takes place Online via ZOOM and will be made available On-Demand to registrants. No music knowledge or music ability is required to register.
