Iliana Nikolova

Iliana was born in Ruse, Bulgaria, and began her piano studies at the
age of four. At 14, she was accepted at the Veselin Stoyanov School of
Music, from which she graduated with a Diploma in Piano Performance and
Pedagogy. After moving to Vancouver, Canada, Iliana went on to study at
the University of British Columbia under Professor Jane Coop, one of
Canada's most prominent and distinguished pianists. In 2003 she received
her Master's Degree in Piano Performance from UBC and founded a
successful piano studio in Vancouver. In addition to her private studio,
Iliana has taught piano at the University of British Columbia, Douglas
College, and Mount Royal College among others. Iliana recently relocated
to the Bay Area and is currently accepting new students.
With
multiple competition wins and performances with major Bulgarian
orchestras, as well as at North American venues, Iliana has a wealth of
experience ready to be shared with her pupils.
