Dean Curtis

I have taught private piano lessons to students of all ages, including
adult beginners and pre-schoolers, and have taught music theory, music
appreciation and piano at the university level. My most recent
institutional associations were with the Crowden Music Center in
Berkeley and with the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts in New
Orleans. I am an experienced composer and arranger and have worked
successfully with chamber music groups. I am a Bach worshiper. While
primarily focused on classical music, I have taught pop music and
elementary jazz with good results. My husband is also a pianist, and we
enjoy playing four-hand music. My interests outside music include
mountain hiking, reading, movies, and nuzzling my dogs and my cat.
