I am a cellist based in the San Francisco Bay Area who has played in a number of youth and regional orchestras over the years, and who received a Bachelor's in Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2014 under the tutelage of Jean-Michel Fonteneau. I am willing to teach children, teenagers, and adults alike, whether it's in preparation for an audition, a rehearsal, a performance, or simply for pleasure. In previous lessons, I have taught the basics of playing posture (bow hold/placement, fingerings), exercises (scales, arpeggios), orchestral excerpts (for auditions or concerts), and full-scale pieces (Bach suites, sonatas, concertos). I am also willing to perform for specific occasions (weddings, funerals/memorials, parties, fundraisers, etc.).

This will vary depending on the student's preferences/goals, but I always make it a priority to engage with the student in a friendly and supportive way, and to help spark their interest/desire to play at their best.
