The Vienna Philharmonic may be grabbing most of the headlines but that's no reason to pass over the Israel Philharmonic, in town at the end of this weekend.
There's a lot to admire in this orchestra, and its conductor, Zubin Mehta, has had a stellar, four-decade career.
They'll delight Davies Symphony Hall regulars with Haydn's “Miracle” Symphony (No. 96) and Mahler's concentrated, powerful Symphony No. 5.
