The Century Club of California was founded in 1888 as a private women's club. In 1905 a Club House, with rooms designed by member Julia Morgan, was built on Franklin Street in San Francisco. The Club House survived the 1906 earthquake and fire and was used temporarily to house the California State Supreme Court.
The ballroom is one of San Francisco's hidden gems, with comfortable and moveable seating for 140, superb acoustics, and a 1950 Steinway D Concert Grand that was refurbished by the Callahan workshop in 2022.
