​​Musicians ages 6-18 are invited to audition for Golden State Youth Orchestra! Palo Alto-based Golden State Youth Orchestra (GSYO) invites musicians ages 6-18 to audition for the 2020-21 Season. GSYO offers six orchestras/ensembles for students at all levels of musical ability.

Start your musical journey in the entry-level orchestra Chamber Players or challenge yourself in the prestigious Senior Symphony! GSYO has openings at all levels for the 2020-21 Season!

What: Auditions for the Fall 2019 season. We are looking for both professional and qualified volunteer singers with strong musicianship skills. We ask that singers bring an aria or a song of their choice, and will be asked to do simple sight-reading

When: August 28, Saturday from 4:30 pm to 6:30

Pocket Opera will hold its auditions for its 2020 season on September 20 (7-10pm) and September 21 (1-4pm).

Please prepare 2-3 arias, and at least one MUST be in English, as Pocket Opera performs all its productions in English.

Nearly all roles are available, as well as a chamber sized chorus.

The California Bach Society, voted the Best Choral Group and Best Early Music/Baroque Ensemble in the SFCV Best of the Bay 2017/18, is holding auditions for our 2019-20 season on Monday evening, August 19th, in Palo Alto. We have a few openings in all parts (SATB) and are always on the look-out for new singers. We sing four concert sets a year, with concerts in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Berkeley. Resound is a chamber chorus of volunteer mixed voices based in San Francisco. We believe that ensemble singing is a visible metaphor of different people coming together to create beauty and harmony. We believe there is no disconnect between art and popular music, and we juxtapose unlike pieces to reveal something impossible if they were performed alone. When people ask us about the music we sing, we often say we're the ensemble of the shuffle generation!

On July 14th & 15th, Andrea Fulton Productions will be auditioning for the 2019 Season of “The Bracebridge Dinner at Yosemite,” a lavish Tudor-style Yuletide Dinner held every year since 1927 at the Ahwahnee Hotel (aka the Majestic Yosemite Hotel).

On July 14th & 15th, Andrea Fulton Productions will be auditioning for the 2019 Season of “The Bracebridge Dinner at Yosemite,” a lavish Tudor-style Yuletide Dinner held every year since 1927 at the Ahwahnee Hotel (aka the Majestic Yosemite Hotel).

The roles being cast this season are:

Tactus, a 12-16 voice Renaissance chamber choir, is looking for a tenor and a bass to join us for our spring concert set, Evolution & Identity (May 11th and 12th). We are singing motets by Lassus, Ockeghem, Appenzeller, Josquin, Victoria, and Monteverdi, in addition to five world premieres by members of the choir composing in the High Renaissance style!
