Boys Chorus

Silicon Valley Boychoir is holding low-stress auditions through May 30. Next fall's rehearsals will be held Tuesday afternoons in Palo Alto for beginner and intermediate levels (rising 2nd-5th graders). An additional section is opening in Fremont for beginners on Wednesdays. Middle and high school boys with choral experience may audition for upper levels rehearsing Tuesday early evenings. Tuition assistance is available. Concerts are planned for December 2024 and May 2025.

Who Should Sign Up?
Boys ages 5 to 12 with unchanged voices from all cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. Boys up to 8 do not need previous music experience. Boys older than 8 should be able to read basic music and have some musical experience (instrument or singing).

Auditions for 2nd-4th grade boys. High school and middle school boys with choral experience may audition for upper levels. SVB provides a personalized approach to teaching singing, music theory, and sight-reading, while providing flexible scheduling for busy families. In addition to their own winter and spring concerts, SVB performs for local events including appearances with Stanford University Symphonic Chorus and Orchestra, West Bay Opera, Schola Cantorum of Mountain View, and singing the national anthem at sporting events. www.svboychoir.org

Small-group auditions for Silicon Valley Boychoir will be held Thursday, August 21 by appointment between 3:30-5:30 pm in downtown Palo Alto at 600 Homer Ave. Auditions are open to boys ages 7-12.
