Auditions preceding the start of our winter concert series on Tuesday, January 9th are open to all voice parts.
Do you love to sing? LOPC, located in Lafayette, is looking for volunteers to join our Chancel Choir! This is a great opportunity to learn music at a high level, join a friendly and welcoming community, and sing your heart out. The choir is supported by eight professional singers, making the volunteer experience fun and stress-free. We have approximately 65 members in the choir and counting, and you'll find everyone from experienced choral singers to those making their public singing debut.
Diablo Choral Artists (DCA), dcachorus.org. is seeking experienced choral singers in all voice parts. We rehearse Monday nights in Walnut Creek. Auditions are scheduled for Monday, Aug 28, beginning at 7pm, at Mount Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek, with rehearsals beginning Sept. 11. Singers should prepare no more than 2 solo. pieces for voice and piano (one in English, and one in a foreign language), and be prepared to vocalize and sight read no more than 2 brief excerpts with and without piano accompaniment.
Join Chora Nova for J. S. Bach's Magnificat in D Major and the Symbolum Nicenum (Credo) from the Mass in B Minor, led by guest conductor Derek Tam. A full Baroque orchestra will accompany the chorus and soloists in the concert on November 18.
Chora Nova is an auditioned chorus of 40-50 singers, meeting on Tuesday evenings in north Berkeley. 2023-24 marks our 18th season of exploring great music at the highest level.
