The Marin Symphony’s first official concert was held on December 14, 1952 at Marin County Catholic High School. Having developed and performed all consecutive seasons since, the symphony continues to delight and engage audiences today.

What they do best:

Our vision is to present the highest caliber symphonic concerts and expanding our reach to include a broader spectrum of people who share a love of classical music. Ultimately, we seek to involve more community members to support the value and benefits of a vital and thriving classical music scene to the culture and the quality of life in Marin. Specialty concerts and events such as the Holiday Concerts, Family Concert, and Pops series and are proudly offered in addition to the traditional classical works.

Where to hear them:

Each season, the Marin Symphony orchestra presents Masterworks classical concerts in the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium from October through May.

Scholarship Programs:

Marin Symphony Youth Programs (MSYP) hosts scholarship opportunities for talent that may not possess resources for private lessons, instruments, and tuition. The benefits of formal music education are vast, and carry on through one’s life. Please consider contributing to the lives of young musicians.
