Chapel College Men and Boys Ensemble seeks talented singers ages 8-18 for our after-school training program and Evensong choir. Boys with unchanged voices may audition to be Choristers. Teenagers are considered for Choral Scholar positions and sing side-by-side with some of the best professional singers in the Bay Area. Auditions by appointment.
Our Artistic Director, Peggy Spool, works with each singer based on what is developmentally appropriate for their age. This includes an ear check, and sight reading check, and for older singers warmups to check for range and vocal quality. Concert Choir level and above, ages 12-17, are encouraged to prepare a song to perform.
This approach is not only more satisfying musically, but is also physically and athletically correct, which allowed these performers to play without physical or mental antagonism, leading them to reach levels of expression and brilliance unequaled in our present day because this approach has been lost. We are bringing back this esoteric knowledge, which we have named the SFIM Method.
2011-2012 season will include orchestral/choral concerts, opera scenes and a fully or semi-staged production of Dido and Aeneas.

Tuesday, September 6 from 7-10pm
Sunday, September 11 from 1-4pm
Requirements:
Please bring an aria or art song and a baroque aria if interested in a role in Dido.

We are looking for strong singer/actors who move well. Experience in Gilbert & Sullivan is not necessary if you can sing and act the role. Some roles may be double-cast or understudied. We strongly encourage performers of all ages and ethnicities to audition.

The International Orange Chorale of San Francisco announces auditions on 8/13 and 8/14 in SF. IOCSF is an all-volunteer chamber choir devoted to performing a cappella repertoire of all periods, with attention to 20th and 21st century music.
