LACO is known as a preeminent interpreter of historical masterworks, as well as a chamption of contemporary composers. The ensemble has been proclaimed "America's finest chambe orchestra" by Public Radio International, and "LA's most unintimidating chamber music experience" by Los Angeles Magazine. LACO's illustrious Music Directors, from Sir Neville Marriner to Jeffrey Kahane, each built upon a tradition of joyous music-making, touring Europe, South America, Japan, and North America, and counting 31 recordings among their accomplishments.

As part of The Soraya's ongoing relationship with the ensemble, LACO brings added dimensions to the celebration of the celebration of Beethoven with violinist Christian Tetzlaff. The acclaimed soloist and chamber musician made his concert debut at age 14 with the same piece he will perform on our stage, the Beethoven Violin Concerto.
