December 2, 2019 marks the 3rd anniversary of the Ghost Ship Fire tragedy in Oakland, CA, a calamity that claimed the 36 victims—musicians, artists, loved ones. While their artistic contribution and memories within the community live on, we dedicate a concert to commemorate their lives.

Voices of Silicon Valley (VOSV) presents a Memorial Concert:
• When: Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 4 pm
• Where: Lake Merritt United Methodist Church. 1330 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland, CA 94606

Bands including Abandoned Footwear and Marmot—friends of these Ghost Ship artists—will also join VOSV in this concert. We will also present artwork by these extraordinary artists, so that we can reclaim a piece of their unique expression, as we celebrate their talents and honor their memories.
We encourage you to come—as yourself and as a community. Joining you in song will be our privilege.

Participants:
• Voices of Silicon Valley: choral music by Arvo Paert, Ligeti, Whitacre, Faure, Orlinsky, Deaconoff
• Abandoned Footwear, Marmot: ambient electronic music; live processing of choral sound
