Two of new music's most exciting emerging composers, Akshaya Avril Tucker and Anuj Bhutani present a set of award-winning works that transcend stylistic boundaries.
Works will include the premiere of a new work by Tucker for Hindustani voice and string quartet, alongside their Variations on Care (2024) for bassoon and string quartet, and the award-winning Hollow Flame (2022) for string quartet. Bhutani's On Letting Go will have its West Coast premiere, along with music for voice, violin, trumpet and electronics from manu and their violin and electronics work, To The Lighthouse.
Featured performers include Saavani Thigale (Hindustani voice), Benjamin Richard (bassoon), Ashley Walters (cello), and Shalini Vijayan (violin), and the Eclipse Quartet.
