TWO PIANOS | FOUR PIANISTS | EIGHT HANDS
This concert celebrates two pianos DONATED to the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival, currently living at the underground classical music space MONUMENT.
Come support these musicians, and this festival's "Piano Fund" which helps re-home pianos so that venues, children, audiences, and students can use them.
The Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival was started in 2011 primarily as an artist retreat in rural and scenic Trinity County of Northern California. It has since developed into an organization known for bringing classical chamber music to rural communities across California and Oregon, for its adventurous programming of contemporary and classical chamber music, for bringing world-class musicians from around the world to perform on its dozens of programs each year, for its outreach to schools and youth programs in rural communities, and for its "Piano Fund" program, which takes donated instruments and finds homes for them where performers, audiences, and music students can use them.
This program will be a benefit for the "Piano Fund". Both instruments, a 5'6" Boston grand and a 7'2" Sherman Clay grand were donated to the festival, and currently live at MONUMENT in San Francisco's SOMA neighborhood.
This concert is organized through Groupmuse, which requires guests to RSVP through their website (see link below).
Groupmuse suggests a donation of $10 per person, but we believe that if you can only afford $50 that is also fine.
Seriously, this program is to benefit a good cause, and the four professional pianists donating their time want you to be generous as well!
